Consciously designed and ethically created, //ASc//ANNA SLEVIN COLLECTION is an independent, hybrid clothing label::combining art-based, high-fashion silhouettes with a sportswear edge. Anna’s designs incorporate unlikely synergies of form and function, infusing each collection with cross-cultural inspiration, standing for individuality in its purest sense. ASc always integrates sustainability efforts and ethical best practices to produce responsible products that empower a confident sense of style. ASc is small-batch and primarily made-to-order in-house, both minimizing waste and ensuring that each piece has lasting quality for many years to come.
Anna has been designing and sewing since she was a young, midwestern girl with big dreams. She is half Lebanese and was raised with strong family cultural traditions, characteristics that inherently shape her design perspective. After spending time working in both fashion and finance in NYC, LA, and Chicago, she launched her eponymous label in 2014 with a small collection of basics. She continues to draw from those distinct industry experiences and her cross-cultural identity to create a uniquely wearable take on bold, artistic silhouettes. Anna’s travels, her love of art and architecture, and her experiences working at Helmut Lang, Rodarte, and Diane von Furstenberg, have also shaped her recognizable aesthetic.
values
ASc is committed to integrity, respecting natural and human resources. Almost every item is ethically made-to-order by our small crew in our studio. We have taken strategic steps to prioritize sustainability, like reworking fabrics season over season and using deadstock fabric (overproduced textiles that went unused in a past season from another designer) when we can. Our hangtags and stationery are made from paper sourced from sustainable forests and are Elemental Chlorine Free (ECF). Our packing bags are made from plants, entirely free of plastic and are at-home compostable. We look for ways to give back to our local community, including donating our fabric scraps to a local non-profit clothing shelter to be repurposed. We also make it a point to employ carbon-negative initiatives.
“Be the change” is more than a motto to us; it’s a lifestyle.
